Emma Phillips Obituary
Emmy's radiant smile and warm spirit touched everyone she met, and often was described as a "Ray of Sunshine." She embraced life with joy, spending time on the beaches of Naples, Florida, hosting gatherings at the family camp in Heart's Content, and boating on Lake Chautauqua. Emmy and her beloved husband, Deak, shared a passion for dancing and cherished the company of family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Deak N. Phillips, brothers, John Spusta Jr. (Regina Spusta) and Joseph Spusta (Jeanne Spusta), and her brother-in-law, Patrick Malizia.
Emmy is survived by her daughter, Amy Vilushis, and son-in-law, Chad; granddaughters Keegan and Delaney Vilushis; her sister, Patricia Malizia; her stepdaughters, Amy Gerrety, husband Mark, Melanie Brownhill, Tracy Malloch-Swiderski, wife Andrea; stepgranddaughter Abby Brownhill; and special extended family who held a dear place in her heart.
In accordance with Emmy's wishes, all services will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1595 West 38th Street.

God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I remember Emmy from my childhood, she was a good friend of my dad Kaz who passed away in 2024. We would often play with Amy at the apartment complex on 8th st.
