Emma Rae “Moe” J. Wonser, 86, of Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Frontida Adelaide Place. She was born March 8, 1939 in Eldron, WI, the daughter of Norman and Lilly (Clifford) Spranger. She attended grade school at St. Philamena in Rudolph, WI then moved to Oakfield where she attended Unity School, a one room school house and then went to Oakfield School on the hill. Moe was prom queen and went with Hubba Ryan. She graduated from Fond du Lac High School. She started working at DHIA and then Infant Socks.
She met her husband of 65 years, Mark Wonser at a bowling alley, they were married November 28, 1959 at Sacred Heart in Fond du Lac. After marriage she stayed home to raise her children and grandchildren. Moe enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading a good book, and entertaining. Anyone who came to the house was instantly family. Moe was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mark; five children, Cheryl (Tom) Hendrickson, Suzette (Mike) Baumhardt, Steve “Herc” (Wendy) Wonser, Michele (Steve) Lustig, and Robert (Allison) Wonser; 20 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She is further survived by her honorary son, AB (Missy) Brass and their children; brothers, Dave (Pat) Spranger and Mike (Vicki) Spranger; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Barb) Wonser and Kim (Sue) Koshnik; a special niece, Carol (Greg) Collien; other nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, George Wonser; mother-in-law, Sophia (Freddy) Koshnik; her brother, Matt (Helen) Spranger; brother-in-law, George (Junko) Wonser; and sister-in-law, Audrey Higgins.
The visitation will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place and burial will be held in Lamartine Cemetery.
