Emma Claire Sager, born on June 5, 2010, in Tyler, Texas, embarked on her eternal journey on January 3, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Michael Joseph Sager and Heather Denise Howard.
Emma grew up surrounded by love in Winnsboro, Texas, where she attended Winnsboro public schools from kindergarten through seventh grade. In her eighth-grade year, she transitioned to Winnsboro Christian Academy. Emma was a bright and enthusiastic student, participating in the Beta Club during her seventh-grade year.
Her interests and talents were diverse, ranging from her passion for drawing and painting to creating beautiful jewelry. Emma also found joy in gaming and was a collector of anything Hello Kitty.
A faithful member of Pine Street Baptist Church, Emma found solace and inspiration in her religious community. Her connection with her church family was a source of strength and support throughout her life.
Emma is survived by her loving mother, Heather Howard, half-siblings Logan Howard, Maggie Howard, and step-siblings, Brittiany Howard, Christie Howard, and Cameran Reed. She is also mourned by her grandmother, Cindy Krantz, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Sager and her stepfather, Brian Howard, who tragically passed away the day after Emma. Emma also joins her grandmother Gloria Chapman, grandfather Wayne Vaught, great-grandfather Fred Sumrow, and great grandmother Lanelle Sumrow.
While Emma's time with us was cut short, the memories of her laughter, creativity, and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A funeral service to celebrate Emma's life will be held at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro on January 13, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will preceded the service from 12:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home. Friends and family are invited to join in remembering and honoring a beautiful soul who touched so many lives.
