Mrs. Emogene Watson Shedd, age 97, passed away peacefully at home in Pelahatchie surrounded by her family. Born on April 4, 1926, to Jesse and Sally Wooley Watson. Mrs. Emogene married the late Joyce Kelmer Shedd, where God blessed them with nine children. Hobbies of Mrs. Emogene were, gardening, raising backyard chickens, cooking, and keeping kids, but most important, was her family.

Preceded in death were all her siblings, three children, Johnny Shedd, Ann S. Ragan, and Edna S. Murphy, her husband, Joyce Kelmer Shedd that passed in 1988. Mrs. Emogene is survived by her children, Cindy Welch, (John) Nita Payne,(Richard) Roy L. Shedd, (Evelina), Rita Myers,(Ralph), James Ray Shedd,( Deborah), and Betty S. Wilson (Jerome); thirty two grandchildren, fifty eight great grandchildren, and twenty four great-great grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Shedd will be, visitation, 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Monday November 20, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. The Funeral Service will be, 11:00am on Tuesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton, MS. Burial will be at Rehobeth Cemetery.
