Eric Armbruster, 59, of Erie, passed away unexpectedly Monday April 15, 2024. He was born in Erie on February 12, 1965 a son of the late Raymond and Cynthia Petroff Armbruster.
Eric graduated from Tech Memorial and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He was currently working for UPMC Insurance and in the past had worked in free-lance graphic design. He was a member of the Murder Mystery Theater at the In All Seriousness Murder Division and enjoyed drawing, art, and comic books.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Jack Armbruster.
Survivors include his daughter, Ellen Armbruster (Dalton Hollingsworth), and his grandchildren, Harper and Henley
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Rd., on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 noon. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to The Muscular Dystrophy Association, 120 E 2nd St 3rd Floor, Erie, PA 16507, Make-A-Wish Erie Regional Office, 717 Indiana Dr, Erie, PA 16505, or Shriners Children's Erie, 1645 W 8th St, Erie, PA 16505.

I enjoyed volunteering with Eric for Frost/Nixon at the Erie Playhouse. He was a kind, talented, person. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Such a talented and genuine person. Always helpful and supportive. I am sorry for your loss. I worked with him often on projects at the Directors Circle theater.
