Eric, fondly known as "Cheesy" by his friends, passed away at home In Lebanon, NH. He was born on September 2, 1973, the third son of Richard (Pete) Dion and Carol Emory Dion.

He attended elementary school In Newport, NH. His high school years and graduation were at Pine Ridge in Williston, VT. He continued his education at Concord, NH Technical College.

Eric's work history began at Simon Pearce in Windsor, VT, where he became a master glassblower. Years later, he went to work at Timken in Lebanon, NH.

He cherished his son, Logen his shining star. Eric loved life and his friends. His kindness created ripples which impacted everyone. His zest for life included helping others and being the best friend he could be. He loved cooking, gardening, spending time with family, and learning new creative skills. Eric was very gifted.

He was predeceased by his nephew, Konner Douglas Dion.

Eric is survived by his fiancée, Tammy Goyette of Lebanon, NH; his son Logan Dion and his girlfriend Taylor Gravelin of Thetford, VT; his parents, Richard (Pete) and Carol Dion of Newport, NH; his siblings, Richard Dion II of Newport, NH, and Jay Dion and his wife Dawn of Bellows Falls, VT.

He is also survived by his stepchildren, Jordan Boucher and his family of Canaan, NH, as well as Krystal Merz and her family of Lebanon, NH, whom he loved deeply and took great pride in as a stepfather.

He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at South Congregational Church at 20 Church St. in Newport, NH, followed by a reception in the Church function room.
