Eric Bennett Hill, (30), of Burke, VA, passed away on Monday, Oct 6th, 2025.
Eric Hill was born in Oklahoma City, OK on Feb 20th 1995. He was raised by his mother Catherine (Bresciani) Hill, father Mark Hill and stepmother Sandie (Gimbert) Hill.
With his father in the Air Force, he travelled from Oklahoma to England twice and went to high school in Yorktown VA and then Moore Oklahoma where he graduated from Southeast High School, Oklahoma City. Eric was active in band, playing in gigs with his mom. He was in the Cub and Boy Scouts, ultimately earning the Eagle Scout Award while with Troop 15 in Oklahoma City.
Eric excelled at everything he did. After high school he attended Oklahoma City Community College and worked as a manager of Tucker's Onion Burgers being featured twice on TV's Food Network making burgers. He set a goal to become a Marine, headed to Virginia to prepare physically, and ultimately earned his Eagle, Globe and Anchor emblem. He served as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps on Okinawa, Japan with the 36 MALS USMC logistics unit.
Following his Honorable service, he returned to Virginia to share an apartment with his brother Kevin, who is also a fellow veteran. They formed a tight bond of mutual support. Eric was attending George Mason University in his senior year when he died.
Eric will be forever remembered for his honorable gentle spirit, kindness, bright and mischievous wit, and as a true and faithful friend.
Eric is preceded in death by his grandfathers Ronald Hill and James Bresciani, and grandmothers Ruth (Reid) Hill and Mary (Pierce) Bresciani, and his aunt Janice (Hill) Beasley.
Eric is survived by his mother Cathy Hill, his father Mark Hill, his stepmother Sandie Hill, his brother Kevin Hill, and stepbrothers Robert and Eric Kass. He is also survived by numerous other family, friends and veterans.
