Eric Michael Johnstone, age 33, of Riverton, NJ, passed away on November 2, 2021. He was born in Mt. Holly, NJ and remained a Riverton resident for most of his life. Eric attended Riverton Elementary School and Palmyra High School. He enjoyed spending his time landscaping and hardscaping; and was especially interested perfecting his craft as a stone mason. His pride and joy was his 2003 Crown Victoria that he spent hours modifying it to be his perfect car; and you could hear him coming as soon as he turned onto your street. Eric had an infectious smile and the ability the make light of any situation. He loved to make people laugh and do imitations. Most of all, Eric cherished spending time with his beloved family; especially, his son Damien. He was the big brother that always had your back and the son that would drive his mother nuts one minute and have her laughing the next. He will be deeply missed.
Eric is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Roseanne Kearney (McAnally) and paternal grandmother, Virginia "Ginny" Johnstone (Wooden).
He is survived by his son, Damien Johnstone; mother, Jennifer Johnstone (Kearney); father, Russ Johnstone; siblings, Amy Pole and her husband Chris, Julia Lloyd, and Brad Lloyd; maternal grandfather, John F. Kearney III; paternal grandfather Robert W. "Rocky" Johnstone, Sr.; mother of his child and first love, Amanda Barrows; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 8:15am-10:15am at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home, located at 2426 Cove Rd., Pennsauken, NJ 08109. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am at Sacred Heart Church, located at 103 4th St., Riverton, NJ 08077. Eric will be laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Park in Cinnaminson, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Johnstone family for Damien's care and education, a trust fund will be established on his behalf.
