Eric Mark Kelly, of Madisonville, Louisiana, passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 61. He was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, born on October 18, 1963, to his loving parents, Walter and Mary Kelly.
Eric is the beloved husband of 31 years to Nicole Jones Kelly; cherished father of Brock Kelly (Adel) and Brendan Kelly (fiancée, Abigail Cottrell); proud grandfather of Adelina Kelly; and treasured brother of Cynthia LeMeunier and Bryan Kelly. He also leaves behind a host of extended family members and friends, all of whom he loved greatly.
Eric graduated from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master's in Business Finance. Eric dedicated his career, as a civil engineer to the City of New Orleans, where he was respected for his integrity and commitment to community development. His colleagues will remember him not only for his professional achievements but also for his camaraderie and support.
Eric's interests were a reflection of his love for life and the simple pleasures it offered. He could often be found walking his beloved dog, Casper, through the streets of his neighborhood, greeting everyone with a smile that could brighten even the cloudiest of days. His presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew him.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Eric would describe him as loving-a word that encapsulates his approach to life and the care with which he treated everyone around him. Eric's memory will be treasured and kept alive in the hearts of those who loved him.
