When his children were growing up, they spent many weekends at the hunting club, riding dirt roads and fishing. Most of their nights, he and Laura spent on their back porch enjoying a fire and “the oldies”. Eric was a man of many talents, from welding to mechanics; he found passion in using his hands in the shop.
Loving survivors include his wife of 30 years, Laura Long; children, Jeffery Long (Abby), Duston Long (Montana), Ashley Long Lewis (Ashton); grandchildren, Laci Long, Brantley Lewis, Ellison Long, Beau Lewis, Robert Charles Long, Rowan Long, Walker Long, Michael Luke Lewis, Baby Long; and his mother, Margaret Long. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Brock Lewis, and his grandparents, Anna & Robert Long.
