Eric George Stonitsch of Alvarado, Texas, formerly of East Aurora, New York, was called home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2025, in the comfort of his own home at the age of 65.
Eric was born April 9, 1960, in Buffalo, New York, to Richard Stonitsch and Alice Borschel. He graduated from East Aurora High School in New York. Eric married Elizabeth Owen Stonitsch on December 31, 1980, in North Richland Hills, Texas. He worked mainly as an over-the-road truck driver and worked some in construction. Eric enjoyed fishing, cheering on his Buffalo Bills, Fords, and his bass boat.
He is preceded in death by his father, Richard; mother, Alice; brothers-in-law, Richard, Paul, EC, Ray; best friends, Mike Miller and Kenny Gooding.
Those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his wife of over 40 years, Elizabeth Grace Stonitsch; daughter, Sarah and husband Austin; sons, Eric and wife Katherine, Steven and wife Maegan; sisters, Lorry and Jill; brothers, Mark, Michael and David; grandchildren, Erin, Ben, Brandyn, Rylan, McKinlee, Sadie, Luke, Wyatt, Addison, Alexis; many nieces, nephews and cousins along with his good friend, Tim Freestone, Ronnie Moore, Nick, Kenny Peterson, Geoff Smith and numerous other family and friends.
