Erica Michell Brister

Erica Michell Ward was born in Houston, Texas on May 16, 1990, to the parentage of Meshell Ingram Ward and Keith W. Stevenson. She was reared by her Nanna, Armenner (Missie) Crawford, Keith and Stephanie Stevenson.

Her education was attained in the public school system of Beauregard Parish. Erica was member of the JROTC from the 10th to the 12th grade. She was a member of the graduating class of 2009.

Erica was baptized at the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Elliott W. Ford. She was a part of all Youth Programs, Girl's Auxiliary, Sunday School, and Youth Choir.

Her loved ones who will hold dear to her memory, dear to their hearts, are her children, Samara Edmonson, Phillip Brister, and Egypt Brister; her Nanna, Armenner (Missie) Crawford; parents, Keith and Stephanie Stevenson; biological mother, Meshell Ingram; brothers, Kyle Stevenson and Donovan Houston; sisters, Desarai Bowers, Keria Bowers, and Dominique Houston-McGhee; uncles, Kevin Stevenson, Kenric (LaRhonda) Stevenson, Merlon Crawford, and Michael Ingram; aunts, Diane Porter, Tawana Belton, Maria (Darryl) Screven, and Deidra Ingram; and a host of cousins and other family.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Emari Naija Ward; brother, Jonathan Crawford; grandmothers, Naomi Belton, Jean Stevenson, and Mary Ingram; and her aunt, Alzata (Brownie) Crawford.
