He was born on March 8, 1980 in Sheboygan, WI, a son to Robert and Laurie (Haese) Roethel.
Erich graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1998. He's worked at Curt Joa for 27 years, where he was a Journeyman Machinist.
On July 9, 2016, he married Jamie Meyer in Elkhart Lake. Erich enjoyed snowmobiling and was President of the 5 Corners Snowmobile Club. He was a lifelong fan of stock car racing, every Saturday night you could find him at the Plymouth Dirt track, in the pits with Luke Scholten, and he enjoyed working on old cars. You could also find him puttering around the house, looking for new projects.
Survivors include his wife, Jamie; his parents, Robert and Laurie Roethel; his siblings, Quintin (Candace) Roethel and their children, Ally and Brayden Roethel, Tanya (Todd) King and their daughter, Maleena Kelly, Corey (Jenny) Roethel and their children, Elsie and Lucy Roethel; mother and father-in-law, Cliff and Nancy Meyer; brother-in-law, Paul (Angela) Meyer; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday (August 11, 2024) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth from 12:00 PM-3:00PM, with a funeral service to follow at 3:00PM. Pastor Dale Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Erich's name.

I´m really glad I was able to go fishing with Erich this summer. We had a good time and enjoyed each other´s company. I also am thankful for the years I was able to work with Erich at Curt Joa. He also helped me at my new job, programming the CNC machine. He didn´t have to, but did it as a friend. I will miss him. May God bless his family at this time.
