Erick McClinton Obituary
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Franklin Community Church, 822 Blackjack Road in Franklin, KY. A memorial service will be held the same day, Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Mr. McClinton's wishes are to be cremated after services.
Erick was born on November 6, 1972 in Chicago, IL to the late Robert McClinton and the late Rose Myra Marie McClinton. He is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, ARayah Sunshine Wilson; maternal grandparents, Bennie Jeff Welch, Sr. and Rosie Welch; and a furbaby, Ginger.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tara Partinger-McClinton; 2 children, Erick McClinton, Jr. and Ayanos McClinton; 9 step-children, Ty’Asia Partinger, Jeremiah Partinger, Jeziah Clayton, Ja’Kai Partinger, Daniel Summers, Christina Miller (Joel), LaQuita Askew, JaQuan “Quanwie” Summers and Keanna Askew; 1 grandson Benji McClinton; 5 other grandchildren; siblings, Yvette Bankhead (William) of Michigan City, IN, Tamala Tucker, Chicago, IL, Jamie Davis (Tremaine) of Bowling Green, KY, Katrina Williams (Andre’) of Chicago, IL and Brittney Whiteside of Chicago, IL; many nieces and nephews; Godmother, Rosemary Bankston of Chicago, IL; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Douglas “Tudy Bug” & Cynthia Partinger of Franklin, KY; and furbaby, Chi, AKA Puppy Chow.
Erick was a 1990 graduate of Calumet High School in Chicago, IL. He was a member of Franklin Community Church. Erick was employed by Franklin Express in Franklin, KY. Erick was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. Erick was a lover of cigars, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, and you never saw him without a hat. He had a hat for every outfit. Erick loved reading about different cultures and learning specifically about Japanese culture which fueled his love for Anime. He loved to watch One Piece which is an Anime show. He loved being with his wife, children, and family members. Family was everything to him and he loved spending time with them.
