Erik Jay Kuns

Erik Jay Kuns, 35, of Old Bridge NJ tragically passed away on November 9th, 2025. He was a brother in the Dockworker's Timberman Union Local 1556. He had a passion for sports, especially the Boston Red Sox, NY Giants, NY Knicks, and the NY Rangers. His humor and his compassion will be missed by all who loved him. There were many fond memories of family camping trips to PA, his joy rides with his dad in his tracker trailer, and following his sister around everywhere she went as a young boy.
Erik was an adoring uncle who loved every minute he got to spend with his beloved nieces. Taking them down the shore, to sports games, or just hanging out in the backyard. He will forever be remembered as 'Uncle Edgar' as his first niece Kaylie always called him.
He was predeceased by his mother Cheryl Kuns, his grandmothers, Cecilia Daley and Marilyn Kuns, and his grandfather Doug Kuns.
Erik is survived by his loving family, his father Jay Kuns, sister Kristyn Cortez and her husband Jason, his adored nieces Kaylie and Jaymie, his Poppop Robert Daley, his uncle Mike Daley and his wife Melinda, cousins Jessica and Ryan and their children, and his aunt Kathy Kuns.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey.
