Erna J. O'Malley, 82 of Brielle, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center, Brick surrounded by her loving family. Erna was born in Neptune and raised in Wall Township. She was a graduate of Manasquan High School. Erna was a customer care agent for over 30 years with Verizon. After her retirement she then worked with her brother at the Corner Bagelries and managed the Manasquan location. She loved working there and took pride in being a vital part of the Manasquan Community.
Erna was predeceased by her parents Joseph Greene and Norma Whille. She is survived by a son Bryan J. O'Malley and his son Bryan. Erna is also survived by her brother Robert Whille and his wife Kathleen of Brielle with whom she resided during her final years, two stepbrothers Harvey Whille and his wife Donna of Wall Township, and Paul Whille and his wife Helen of Belmar. She was the cherished aunt to Matthew R. Whille and Julie Rizzitello and her husband Joe, as well as her great nephew Joey and great niece Taylor.

I worked with Erna in the Freehold Office for many years. She was the most outgoing high energy gal in the office & always chatting on breaks & lunch. Was happy when she ran the Bagel spot as a great pick for her personality after her Verizon career. Condolences to all her loved ones.
