Ernest, Jr., 82, of Saddle Brook, formerly of Ridgefield Park, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Before retiring, Ernest worked for Reynold's and Reynold's. He was a parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Saddle Brook, NJ. Ernest was a veteran who served our country.
Ernest was an avid baseball fan. He loved the Yankees, played in High School, and coached the Babe Ruth Little League in Palisades Park. He most especially loved watching his grandchildren play multiple sports.
Cherished father of Jill Mallia and her husband Frank, and Jody Riina and her husband Joseph. Treasured grandfather of Matthew, Daniel, Joseph, and Nicholas. Dear brother of Dorothy Jean Easer and her husband John. Ernest is predeceased by his parents Ernest and Dorothy Canestrino and his sisters Margie Gandolfi and Roberta Canestrino.
Family will receive friends on Monday May 20, 2024 from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday May 21, 2024 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Saddle Brook, NJ.
