Ernest Theodore, 86, of Saugus, Massachusetts, formerly of Belmont, passed away after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family on January 21, 2025.
Born on September 13, 1938, Ernest was a loving and devoted husband to Christine E. Theodore for nearly 63 years. Together, they built a loving family and a life filled with love and cherished memories. He was the proud father of Stephanie L. Theodore of Saugus and Dianna Theodore-Primo and her husband James of Saugus. Ernest also found one of his greatest joys in being a grandfather to John "Jake" Primo of Saugus. He is survived by his sisters Angeline Theodore of Arlington and Faith Rozantes and her husband Nicholas of Winthrop, as well as many cousins.
Ernest had a successful career as a developer in Andover and Saugus, contributing to the growth and development of these communities. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he was a passionate car enthusiast who delighted in sharing his interests with friends and family. He also loved spending winters in Florida, traveling the world, especially Greece. Above all else, Ernest treasured the time spent with loved ones, creating bonds that will endure in their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home North Shore Chapel, 10 Chestnut St., Peabody, MA, on Sunday, January 26, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 27, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Cemetery in Peabody.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vasilios Endowment Fund in Ernest's memory.
