Ernest "Buddy" Leroy Walsh III, 63 of Ipswich, passed away on February 19, 2025, following a battle with cancer. Buddy was born on August 19, 1961, in Danvers, to the late Ernest Leroy and Carol Jean (Noyes) Walsh. Buddy grew up in Beverly, where many kids from the neighborhood remained lifelong friends. He was an avid Boston sports fan, enjoyed camping, and days at the beach. He was a tried-and-true friend who, as they say, would give you the shirt off his back.
Buddy served in the Army National Guard and, for years, worked alongside his dad at Northern Cellulose in Beverly. Fifteen years ago, he began working at Landmark School, where he gained many new friends. He was happy in his job and he greatly enjoyed being a part of the Landmark family.
Buddy is survived by his sisters, Pam and her husband, Dennis, of Florida, Michelle Burby of Beverly, MA, Carol Pages and her husband, Marc, of Danvers, MA, Penny LaSelva and her husband, Martin, of South Berwick, ME, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. In addition to his family, Buddy is survived by his dearest friend, companion, and eventual caregiver, Janice Harlow of Amesbury, MA, with whom he shared many adventures.
Visiting hours for Buddy will be held at Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Monday, March 10th, from 4Pm to 7 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com
