Essie Louise Burleson-Snead, age 94, died December 15, 2025 at the Little Rock St Vincent Hospice Hospital Care. She was born on September 10, 1931 in Scott, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Claude Edward and Essie Burleson.
She is survived by her son; Ronald Albert Snead (Serena) of Hensley, AR; daughters, Carolyn Jane Snead Singley (David) of Little Rock, AR, and Teresa Anne Snead Lewis (Lonnie) of Newnan, GA; 5 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Lena Mae Scott (Tom) of Hensley, AR.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Claude Edward and Essie Burleson, her son Billy Joe Snead and her daughter Nancy Louise Snead, six brothers; Claude Edward Burleson (Ruth), Jimmy Dee Burleson (Alice), Joe Allen Burleson (Jo Ann), Romey Love Burleson (Nina), Charles David Burleson (Daryl Kulp), and Richard Dane Burleson (Hester).
She retired from teletype after 20+ years. The family would like to express their appreciation to Arkansas Hospice, St Vincent Hospital, and Dr. Louis Jones of Ortho Arkansas for their loving care and support.
Funeral and Burial Services will be held as follows:
A visitation will be held from 10:30 - 11:30 AM on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home (1921 Main St, North Little Rock, AR 72114) with a funeral service to follow. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025 at Sumner Cemetery (13603-14051 Sumner Cemetery Rd, Cabot, AR 72023).
