Ethan Atnip

Ethan Atnip, 16, of Parsons, died at 8:53 P.M., Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Labette Health. His death was unexpected.
He was born August 4, 2008 at Pittsburg, a son of Joseph Dwayne and Loron Dawn (Phelps) Atnip. He grew up at Parsons and attended school here until transferring to Meadowview when he was in the Seventh Grade. Currently, he was attending the Labette County High School and was about to begin the Twelfth-Grade. He was employed part-time at Shepard Construction and worked as a roofer.
He enjoyed playing video games, fishing and spending time with his friends.
Survivors include: his father – Joe Atnip, and his companion, Jessica Jones, Parsons; his mother – Loron Atnip, Parsons; one brother – Aiden Atnip, Parsons; one sister – Rory Atnip, Parsons; his paternal grandparents – Debra Knisley and Ron Sjolander, Parsons; his maternal grandmother- Pamela Phelps, and her companion, Alan Port, Dennis; his maternal grandfather – Drew Phelps, and his wife, Glenna, Pittsburg; one uncle – Levi Phelps, and his wife, Joely, Weir; two aunts – Lori Block, and her husband, Charles, Dodge City, Lindsey Bowman, Parsons.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, July 7, 2025 at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home with Pastor Don Tallman officiating.
