Ethel Mae Everett, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend, entered into eternal rest on January 8, 2026. She was born on November 26, 1965, in Fort Valley, Georgia, to the late John and Helen Cater Everett.

Raised in Fort Valley, Ethel was a proud hometown woman whose presence left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. She was known for being fun-loving and charismatic, with a personality that could light up any room. Ethel always told it like it was—honest, direct, and unapologetically herself. Once she set her mind to something, she saw it through to the end, embodying determination and strength in all she did. Through life’s ups and downs, she remained steady and true to herself.

Ethel was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and supported her team with passion and pride. She was also a devoted and longtime member of the American Legion Lady Auxiliary, where she faithfully served and was honored to hold the position of president. Her leadership, dedication, and commitment to service were deeply respected and appreciated by all who worked alongside her.

Ethel Mae Everett will be remembered for her bold spirit, unwavering honesty, and the love she shared so freely. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Everett, Betty Everett, and Ricky Everett.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Terrell Grayer, Marcus Grayer, Terrick Barnes (Ashley), and Jakenya Holiday; eleven grandchildren; siblings, Ruth Everett, Michael Everett (Deidra), Tony Trice, Debra Everett, Diane Everett, Chris Everett; and a host of extended family.

Visitation will be, Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home with a funeral service immediately following in the chapel. Afterward, Ethel will be laid to rest in Lamar Cemetery.

For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live at https://www.youtube.com/@McCulloughFuneralHome via the McCullough Funeral Home’s YouTube page.
