Friday, October 8, 1971– Wednesday, June 25, 2025
Ethel Katherine Purvis, a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and companion, passed away at her residence in Alamo, Georgia, on June 25, 2025, at the age of 53. She was born on October 8, 1971, to the late Eschel Eugene and Ann Bowyer.
Graveside Services will be held at Alamo City Cemetery on Saturday, June 28 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Brad Purvis officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM at the Chapel of Lowes Funeral Home.
A dedicated professional, Ethel served as a team leader at PCC Airfoils in Douglas. She was a member of Peebles Baptist Church.
She is survived by her mother, Mary Ann Hudgins of Lizella, and her sister, Tasha Kersey (Jody) of Lizella; niece, Maranda Adams (Matthew) of Warner Robins, companion, Alex Holbrooks, several cousins and her best friends, Margaret and Gary Parker.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Eschel and Ann Bowyer, nephew, Tyler McElhenney and brother, Eschel Bowyer, Jr.
Ethel's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed, but the impact she made will endure forever. She will always be remembered as a beloved member of her community and a true friend to many.
