Mr. Eugene Gabriel ‘Gene’ Collett, of Waltham, died on Friday, May 24, 2024, in Newton-Wellesley Hospital. He was 60.
Gene was born in Waltham on May 5, 1963 and had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Waltham Vocational High School.
He dedicated many years of his career to working at Raytheon as a painter for radar and missile systems equipment and in his free time he enjoyed riding motorcycles. Gene was a caring father, husband, brother, and friend.
He leaves behind his wife, Linda LeLievre Collett of Waltham; his sons, Timothy Collett of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Tyler Collett of Dedham; his brothers and sisters, Paul Collett of Waltham, Cynthia Mongeon of Pembroke, Georgia, Leta Reale of St. Petersburg, Florida, William Collett of Natick and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Collett, and his siblings, Jerome, Brian, Norman, and Helen Collett.
Family and friends will honor and remember Gene’s life by gathering for a graveside service at 12 Noon on Friday, August 30, 2024 in Calvary Cemetery, 250 High Street, Waltham.
