He was born April 27, 1949, in the Bronx, the son of Andrew and Marie Gentile.
After Highschool he joined the Police Academy, and served in Law Enforcement, retiring as a Gold Shield Detective.
Eugene is survived by his loving wife, Alix; his sons, Andrew and Geno; daughters, Heather and Jessica; granddaughter, Olivia; sisters, Janene and Madeline; nieces, Janine and Andrea; and nephew, Robert.

Gene and Alix were such respected and supportive members of our car club. He was always such a gentleman and always so happy to be around the club members at shows with his beautiful 1950 Ford. I had no idea of his passing until this date and so sorry for your loss Alix and his family. May he rest in peace.

Gene was my dear friend and next-door neighbor for 20+ years when he lived in Hauppauge, NY. He was a magnificent man. The best neighbor a person could ever have, and also what is called: "A Cop's Cop.." Members of Law Enforcement know the meaning of that phrase.
He was a better man than most, and didn't deserve the sickness that fell upon him in his 60's. May you Rest in Peace, Gene. Thank you for your friendship and all of the talks we had in the garage and the driveway. You had a lot of great stories and I am Blessed to have known you.
