Eugene Hmelak, aged 70, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025.
A devoted resident of Elizabeth, Eugene was well known among friends and neighbors for his unwavering love of golf. Whether he was on the course perfecting his swing or cheering on professional tournaments, his passion for the game was a defining part of his life.
Eugene was a man of kindness, generosity, and quiet enthusiasm—always ready with an encouraging word or a friendly gesture. His easygoing nature and genuine interest in others made him a cherished friend and confidant.
He is profoundly missed by those who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of warmth, good humor, and love for the simple joys in life—especially the game of golf—will live on in the hearts of family and friends.
Professional arrangements are under the care and supervision of Las Rosas Bannworth Funeral Home, 1055 E. Jersey Street Elizabeth, NJ 07201.
Interment will take place in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville, NJ.
