Eugene J. Patrizi

Former Resident of Schaumburg for 50 Years

Visitation for Eugene J. Patrizi, 93, will be Thursday, July 3 from 9:00am until funeral service begins at 11:00am at Michaels Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 800 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg, Illinois. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine, Illinois.

Born October 21, 1931 in Chicago Heights to the late John and Josephine Patrizi, Eugene peacefully passed away June 25, 2025 in Crestwood.

Eugene, affectionately known to many as "everybody's uncle," brought light, laughter, and wisdom into every room he entered. A devoted parishioner of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Schaumburg and a proud U.S. Army veteran, Eugene lived a life grounded in service, creativity, and connection. He earned his Master of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University, where his talent and passion for the arts flourished. His legacy as a gifted teacher touched countless students over the years, each of whom remembers him not only for his intellect but for his kindness, humor, and unforgettable presence.

Eugene's creativity knew no bounds. His passion for the arts was evident in everything he did. One of his notable paintings proudly hangs in the halls of his alma mater, a lasting tribute to his vision and talent. He was also a firm believer in living fully and healthily. Whether dancing, solving crossword puzzles, or sharing spirited conversations, Eugene approached life with joy, vigor, and an open heart. He had a remarkable gift for storytelling and a deep love for people; to know Eugene was to be embraced by his warmth and generous spirit.

He leaves behind a legacy not only of accomplishments, but of the laughter, stories, and love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to call him friend or family.

Loving uncle of Patricia (Richard) Tattas and Mary Jane Willingham; beloved great-uncle of Michael (Pamela) Tattas, Kimberly (Lee) Blank, Tina (Keith) Gaskey, in addition to countless great-nieces and great-nephews throughout the U.S.; cherished grand-uncle of Alissa and Alexandra Tattas, Darien Blank, and Jessica Gaskey, in addition to many more grand-nieces and grand-nephews; dear friend, teacher, and neighbor to many. He is preceded in death by all his siblings, Clementine Perozzi, Joseph Patrizi, Americo Patrizi, Louis Patrizi, Alfred Patrizi, Ralph Patrizi, Victor Patrizi, and Mary Stack. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
