Robert P. Boston

Robert P. Boston, Jr., 76, has gone home to his creator after a 6-year battle with cancer on Saturday, October 18, 2025 surrounded by his family at his home in Libertyville, IL. He was born April 7, 1949 in Evanston, IL and was formerly of Morton Grove, IL, living between Fox Lake, IL & Fort Myers, FL for much of his life. Robert attended Harper College in Palatine, IL & Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. He was active in the boating & watersports community of the Chain of Lakes, IL, starting the Boston Ski Party at the sandbar in Antioch as well as Fort Myers, FL and was also owner of Ugly Duckling Rentals in Fox Lake. Robert had been a former employee of Lazydays RV in Tampa, FL and also at Palm RV in Fort Myers. He had been a member of the Fish Lake Beach Community for over 20 years and enjoyed traveling with his family around the United States in a RV. Robert will be remembered as a man of love, smiles and who never met a stranger!
Surviving is his daughter, Annette Boston; grandson, Brendyn Riley; sister, Sharon (Joseph Bondi) Kneip; former wife & dear friend, Lisa Trendler & in-laws, David & Christina Trendler; best friend & brother, Mitch Milford and nieces, Cindy (Patrick) Campbell, Patti Reuter & Suzanne Bach.
He was preceded in death by his son, David Boston and by a brother-in-law, Dennis Kneip.
A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Lupa's Marina (Sunset Grill), 25276 W. Grass Lake Rd. Antioch, IL.
