Eugene Trinkle, a devoted husband, loving father, and faithful follower of Christ, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of June 2, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was 65 years old. Born in Miami, Oklahoma, on September 24, 1959, Eugene spent his life loving God, his family, and his community with unwavering devotion. He was known for his deep faith, sharp wit, and passionate loyalty to Texas Tech and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Eugene faced many physical challenges over the last seven years, and through it all, he remained a man of strength, humility, and hope. His decision to enter hospice was made with peace and courage, ready to meet his Lord and Savior.
On July 24, 1981, Eugene married the love of his life, Carol. Together they raised two sons, Chad (Valerie) and Chance (Ashleigh). He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren-Maverick, Savvy, Liam, and Cal-who brought him immense joy.
He is survived by his wife, Carol; his sons and their spouses; his four grandchildren; and his brothers, Paul and Monty Trinkle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Betty Trinkle.
Eugene also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and quiet strength.
To know Eugene was to love him. He brought laughter to every room and encouragement to every heart. His greatest legacy is the Christ-centered life he lived and modeled for his family. He taught those around him to love Jesus above all else-a legacy that will continue for
generations to come.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 8, at 2:30 p.m. at Life Church in Midlothian, Texas, to celebrate Eugene's life and faith. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the "Eugene Trinkle Support Trust" at Great Plains National Bank in Elk City, Oklahoma.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to every doctor, nurse, and caregiver who provided such compassionate care to Eugene over the last seven years.
An additional memorial service will be held in his hometown of Chetopa, Kansas, later in July at Community Bible Church.
