Mrs. Eunice Hastings parks was born on January 25, 1952, in Griffin, Georgia to Oscar and Francis Hastings. Eunice received her formal education in the Spalding County Scholl System, and graduated from Fairmont High School. Eunice accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at Red Oak United Methodist Church. On August 21, 1969, Eunice Hastings was united in holy matrimony with Jeffery Parks in Griffin, Georgia. Their union was blessed with three children.
Eunice was employed with Quality Inn and Suites as the Supervisor of Housekeeping for 19 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, planting flowers, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Eunice Parks passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at Eternal Hope. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Francis Hastings; six brothers, Willie Frank, Hillman, Sylvester, Wilford, Caesar, and Robert Dorsey; two sisters, Doris and Eva.
Mrs. Eunice Hastings Parks leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Jeffery Parks; daughters, Yvette Howell, Charlene Johnson (Michael), and Pamela Natasha Smith (Kederick); brothers, Harry Hastings, and Whitaker Hastings; 7 grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Rev. Elliott Hastings is the Eulogist, and Rev. Wilma Hastings will Officiate.
