Evan Christopher Jones, age 39, of Collinwood, TN, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024. He was born on January 5, 1985, in Florence, AL, the son of Steven Marshall and Cathy Dianne Gann Jones.
Evan’s journey through life was marked by love and dedication. He began dating Keri Ann Wooten on November 3, 2002. It was true love from the start. They dated 9 wonderful years before being united in marriage on June 20, 2011. Together, they created three beautiful children and a home filled with love and endless laughter.
Professionally, Evan was a Journeyman Electrician with the IBEW Local 558, where his skills shone brightly. Beyond his work, he found joy in woodworking and traveling. Yet, nothing brought him as much joy and fulfillment as the time spent with his family. They created many memories together. Ones that will be cherished forever.
He is survived by his wife, Keri Ann Wooten Jones; daughters, Ansleigh Kate Jones and Abree Grace Jones; son, Alex Carson Jones; parents, Steven Marshall and Cathy Dianne Gann Jones; sister, Jana Jones Boice (Jason); father and mother-in-law, Donald Hugh Jr. and Jerri Ann Dickey Wooten; sister-in-laws, Katie Elizabeth Crowder (Trae) and Kristen Leigh Edwards (Jamison); nephews, Noah Dominic Boice, Bishop Neyland Crowder, Benton Radford Crowder, and Campbell Lee Edwards; niece, Eva Faith Boice; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Martin Acklin Gann, Eva Nell Billingsley Gann, Marshall C. Jones, and Marpaline Jones.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024, at Shackleford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with Bro. Jamison Edwards officiating. Immediate family will be welcomed at 1pm and extended family and friends will be welcomed at 2 pm.
Evan will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his wife, children, family, and all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Butterfly Foundation in Waynesboro, TN.
