Kathy Gale West Montgomery (Nana), born November 21, 1959, to Geneva Aliene Franks and Ellis West, passed away on June 20, 2025. She is lovingly remembered by her devoted children, Everette (Tonya) White and Rocky (Lisa) White, brothers, Rick (Mary) West and Nick (Tabitha) Franks, grandchildren Brittney (Dustin) Roberts, Ashton (Justin) Keeton, Austin Fish, Samantha Waddell, and Alyssa Ledlow, and her 12 great-grandchildren. Kathy is also survived by several nieces and nephews, friends, and those she considered family. With a dedicated career spanning over 20 years at ECM Hospital, Kathy touched countless lives through her compassion, warm smile, and kindness. Her generous spirit, loving heart, and special ability to find something to love in everyone she met (even if they didn't deserve it) will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, her bonus dad, Everette Franks, and her husband, Ricky Montgomery.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm service time at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Collinwood, TN with John Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens of Wayne County in Collinwood, TN with Shackelford Funeral Directors assisting the family.
Pallbearers will be Kody Andrews, Chris Price, Austin Fish, Rusty Smith, Gus Waddell, and Dennis Blocker (honorary). John Andrews will be officiating. The family extends special thanks to Alabama Hospice and Marcy, Heather, and Angela for their compassionate care.
