Evan David Jones

Evan David Jones, 77, passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at his home in Weatherford, Texas. He was born on June 28, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas.

David graduated from Weatherford High School in 1966 and later attended and graduated from Weatherford College. On February 27, 1971, he married Catherine Ellen Keller, and together they shared 54 wonderful years of marriage. David worked as a paint contractor throughout his career and took great pride in his work.

He enjoyed vacationing in Port Aransas, fishing, gardening, and rooting for the Green Bay Packers. David especially loved celebrating Halloween and dressing up to perform in haunted houses. His quick wit and sense of humor kept family and friends laughing and will be fondly remembered.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Ruth Mozley Jones; his father, William Jones; and his brother, John Jones.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Jones; daughters, Jenifer Houdmann and Jill Arbor (John); and grandsons, Charles Houdmann and Wyatt Arbor.

Visitation will be held at White’s Funeral Home on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at George’s Creek Cemetery in Nemo, on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
