Evangeline E. Wolschleger

Evangeline E. Wolschleger, age 90 of Harbor Beach, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. She was born on July 25, 1935 in Bad Axe, to the late William and Clara (Lorkowski) Mazure. She met the love of her life at a dance, and married Ben Wolschleger on April 30, 1955 at Smith's Corner. Together they owned and operated Wolschleger Farms. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, along with the Altar Society. She spent much of her time, sewing and quilting, and being a part of the Helena Quilting Ladies Group. Vange loved her flower gardens, watching the birds, especially her cardinals and humingbirds. She loved to waltz with her husband, listen to polka music, and loved her beloved cat. Vange is survived by her husband of 70 years, Ben Wolschleger, children: Harvey (Vicki) Wolschleger, Perry (Carole) Wolschleger, Daryl (Debbie) Wolschleger, Brenda (Don) Plester, Charlene (LeRoy) Guitar, Gail (Mike) McConnachie, Ellynne Volmering, Rhonda (Mike) Volmering, Beverly (John) Ginther, Dean (Monica) Wolschleger, Darrin (Connie) Wolschleger, 37 grandchildren, 90 great grandchildren,1 great great grandchild, her sister Mary Ann (Harold) Cook, many in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: William and Clara Mazure, an infant daughter, Mary Darlene and son-in-law: Brad Volmering. Funeral Mass for Vange will be Monday, September 15, 2025 at 11 am at St. Anthony's Catholic Church of the Holy Name of Mary Parish, with Fr. Kevin Wojciechowski officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemtery. Visitation for Vange will be on Sunday, from 2-8pm at the Ramsey Funeral Home of Harbor Beach. Visitation on Monday, will be at the church, beginning at 10 am until time of services at 11 am. A Rosary Service will take place Sunday, at the funeral home at 7 pm.
