Evelyn was born in Beacon, NY, the daughter of Charles Thomas and Marian May Haight Hunt.
Evelyn was a local all of her life and she attended Beacon High School.
In March of 1968 in Italy Evelyn married Antonio "Tony "DeBernardo. Antonio predeceased Evelyn on January 31, 2014.
Evelyn and Tony were the owners of Napoli Pizza on Hooker Ave in Poughkeepsie.
Evelyn liked to Color, draw and read but what was most important to her were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by her children Costanzo DeBernardo of Kent Ct., Teresa Fandel (Glenn) of Staatsburg, NY., Mary DeBernardo of Poughkeepsie, NY., Rose DeBernardo (Robert) of Elizaville, NY., Anna Devereau (Adam) of Newport, RI., her siblings Thomas Hunt, Billy Hunt, Samuel DeTulio, Donald DeTulio, Linda Patterson, Nancy Latroynica, Carol Livine, many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Antonio "Tony" DeBernardo and her sister Mary Collinger.
Calling hours will be held on Monday July 8, 2024, from 10am to 12pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Funeral services will follow at 12pm.
Burial will be at the Fishkill Rural Cemetery Route 9 Fishkill, NY.

So saddened to have read this. She and Tony were so much a part of my teenage years in Poughkeepsie, and always enjoyed stopping in later on in life. Still not sure why they called me Popeye (atleast that's what it sounded like). My apologies for missing stopping in, I did not pay attention to the hours.
