Evelyn Rae "Evie" Renwick

Evelyn Rae "Evie" Renwick, age 75, of Shippenville, PA, passed away quietly at her home after a courageous 18-month battle with glioblastoma.
Born on November 27, 1949, to the late Bill and Jane Renwick of Sligo, Evie was a 1967 graduate of Clarion Area High School. She married Pat Breniman of Shippenville in 1969. Though they later divorced, they remained close throughout her life. Together, they lovingly raised two children.
Evie is survived by her children Shannon (Jim) dePrado of Leesburg, VA; and Mat (Amy Gilmore) Breniman of Shippenville, PA; her cherished grandchildren Kate, Nick, and Josh dePrado, and Wes and Lila Breniman. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and her love for them was boundless.
Evie is also survived by her brothers John (Beverly) Renwick and Kevin (Michele) Renwick; her sister-in-law Linda Glowacki Renwick; her brother-in-law Gordon Evans; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Terry; and her sisters Judith, who passed away in infancy, Kathy Renwick Breniman, and Vera Renwick Evans.
Her deep Christian faith was a source of comfort and hope. Evie's kindness and selflessness touched everyone who knew her, and she will be remembered for her compassion and devotion. She worked for many years as a caregiver, a role she cherished. Evie was also an unwavering advocate for animals, and she found great joy and comfort in the company of her horses, and many dogs and cats over the years.
Above all else, Evie's heart belonged to her family and friends. Her happiest moments were spent with her grandchildren, surrounded by loved ones at family gatherings, and sharing laughter and love with her cherished friends-especially Linda Elliott, her lifelong friend.
The family will hold a celebration of Evie's life at a later date.
