Evelyn May Molyneux Ross, beloved wife of 50 years, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, with family by her side.
Her life was full of family and friends whom she loved dearly. Her love of travel took her through the entirety of the United States, parts of Canada, Mexico, Scotland, England, and Ireland. She loved to be able to entertain her family and friends with trips to Disney World, Disney Land, and the Great Smoky Mountains. At age 5 each grandchild received their own trip to Disney with Gran and Gramps.
She was a talented, generous, and creative hostess for holidays and special occasions every time family and friends gathered. Reading, sewing, crafting, and cooking were among her many hobbies. She leaves behind her special touch on our world.
Evelyn graduated from the Westchester School of Nursing in Valhalla, NY in 1961 with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She was employed at Ft. Walton Beach Medical Center for many years where she was an ICU nurse and finished her career as the Director of Risk Management and Safety Officer. She was a dedicated, caring nurse spanning over fifty years. Her compassion and tenderness with patients and families exemplified her kind spirit.
She is pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years William Ross, her parents James Edward and Olive May Molyneux, and younger sister Jean Molyneux Breslin. She is survived by her children Ed (Kelly) and Donna (Chris); grandchildren Michael (Mandi), Alex (Melissa), Scott (Lindsay), and Marie (Luis); 4 wonderful great-grandchildren; and special friend Marion Bach.
