Everette Dodson, age 86, of Beebe, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 14, 2025. He was born on October 1, 1938, to Homer and Ida Dodson in McRae, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 23 years, Dianna Lynn Dodson; his parents; brothers Homer Dodson, Jr. and Jimmy Dodson; sister Naomi (Koot) Dodson; and nieces Kelly Shadwick and Erin Powell.
Everette is survived by his daughter Ashley Covington (Kenny); son Jeremy Dodson (Susan); three grandchildren, Chloe Dodson, Sophie Dodson, and Bryce Covington; nephew Rick Powell (Linda); brothers-in-law Ted Noble (Glenda) and Dennis Noble (Meg); along with nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Everette joined the military in 1960. He served 35 years in the Air Force and Air National Guard. He retired as CMSgt in 1995.
Everette was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Beebe, Arkansas, where he served as a deacon and member of the choir. He also sang bass for the Freedoms Four quartet. He continued to bless others with his singing of hymns throughout his life up until his final days on Earth. Employees at Sherwood Nursing & Rehab commented about him singing.
Everette loved his children and grandchildren deeply. He was always eager to brag on them to anyone who would listen. His family and friends will miss him dearly but are rejoicing to know he is walking streets of gold in Heaven with Jesus.
The family would like to extend a special heartfelt thank you to Sherwood Nursing & Rehab for all the love and care that was given to Everette during the months he lived there. Words cannot express the gratitude we have for Jaymie Aguilar and Nicole Robinson, who took care of him like he was their own father.
