F. Carol O'Loughlin, 79, of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Salemhaven Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Brian J. O'Loughlin, with whom she shared fifty wonderful years of marriage.
Born in Methuen, daughter of the late James and Helen (Cantillion) Pierce, Carol was raised and educated in Lawrence, graduating from Lawrence High School. She began her career at Bay State Gas Company, where she worked for eight years and met Brian, the love of her life. As they started their family, Carol chose to dedicate herself to her home, providing unwavering love and support to her husband and children. Together, Carol and Brian raised their family in
Methuen, Massachusetts, creating a warm and loving home filled with lasting memories.
Carol took immense pride in her two sons, Kevin and Patrick, a reflection of the love, guidance, and hard work she poured into raising them. She never missed a single one of their school or sporting events-she genuinely loved being there, cheering them on, and sharing in their accomplishments. In later years, she found that same joy in attending her grandchildren's school and sporting events, celebrating every milestone with the same enthusiasm and heart.
She was equally proud of her three grandchildren-Kyle, Shae, and Brooke-each of whom she lovingly helped care for in their early years. Carol played a major role in shaping the kind, thoughtful, and accomplished people they are today.
She cherished her friendships, from lifelong companions to new acquaintances. She treasured their family trip to Ireland and spent a decade visiting loved ones in San Diego, creating countless memories along the way.
Carol was predeceased by her brother, Robert Pierce, and her brother-in-law, John O'Loughlin.
She is survived by her sons, Kevin O'Loughlin and his wife Erin of Salem, NH, and Patrick O'Loughlin and his wife Danielle of
Methuen, MA; her cherished grandchildren, Kyle, Shae, and Brooke; and several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
