Faith Ann Jones Bennett left this earth peacefully on Sunday, June 30, 2024 after succumbing to dementia at the age of 65. She spent the majority of her life in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, where she was born on July 28, 1958. Her final years of life were in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband so she could be near her daughter and grandchildren (whom affectionately came to know her as Yaya). She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Faith is survived and missed by her husband of 40 years, Richard, daughter, Lauren (Jordan) Stevens, grandchildren, Joelle, age 7, and Jeremiah, age 5, sisters, Sherry Longo, Paula Micklo, and Karen Boye, and brothers, Wayne, Pete, Brian and Ronny Jones.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Potasnak, father, Edward James Jones, and her aunt, Elizabeth “Tish” and uncle, Bill whom assisted in raising her.
Faith had many professions throughout her life, as well as, being a loving mother and homemaker. Her love was caring for children, including other family and friends’ children in her own home. After her daughter was older, she worked in banking, and retail, until finding her fulfillment as a dental assistant/receptionist. She retired in 2017 to help her daughter care for her children.
Everyone who knew Faith felt her big heart and giving nature. She was an outgoing social person always involved in planning family and friend activities. Faith loved shopping not just for herself, but also for others. She was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, and enjoyed family gatherings. Specifically memorable weekends were at her sister’s camp at the “Lake” near Pymatuning Reservoir, vacations to Myrtle Beach, Cancun, Punta Cana, Cabo and Panama City Beach. She loved traveling with her family.
Faith will be truly missed by all.
