It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fawn E. Davidson, who died on Sunday, November 17, 2024. The burial will take place at the Masonic Cemetery, with the date yet to be determined. Fawn will be laid to rest along- side her parents, Thomas and Nancy Davidson.
Fawn was born on March 10, 1961, in Roswell, NM, to Thomas M. and Nancy E. (Gritton) Davidson. She graduated from East High School in Des Moines, IA, and went on to study at Cornell College and the University of South Dakota.
As the daughter of an Air Force officer, Fawn lived in many places throughout the United States, as well as Spain and Holland, before settling in Des Moines.
Fawn had many passions and hobbies that enriched her life. She enjoyed visiting the local farmer's market, cooking, quitting, and sewing. Fawn was deeply involved in Renaissance Fairs, where she crafted all of her own outfits. She also had a love for history, particularly the Civil War, and participated in reenactments to bring that history to life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Nancy Davidson, and her brother, Andrew.
Fawn is survived by her sister, Kathy O'Connor (Kevin) of Phoenix, AZ; her nephews, Daniel and Andrew Do; her sister- in-law, Shawn Davidson of Hastings, NE; and her niece, Megan Davidson (Nick Deal and Addilyn) of Geneva, NE. She is also remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the East High Alumni Association, which will support college scholarships for East High School graduates. Fawn was deeply passionate about supporting the education of her alma mater. Go Scarlets!
