Fay Parks

Parks – Fay Parks, age 91, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025. She was born to the late George and Edith in Winchester, Kentucky on June 23, 1934. Fay proudly served her country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Her service reflected her steadfast commitment and courage during a pivotal time in history. After her military service, she embraced the role of homemaker with equal devotion, raising five children and dedicating herself to the care and well-being of her family. Throughout her life, Fay held several jobs, but her heart remained rooted in nurturing those around her. In her late 50's, a time when many begin to slow down, she achieved a personal milestone that brought her great pride earning a degree in computer science from Jones College. This accomplishment stood as a testament to her determination and lifelong love of learning. Even though Fay lived simple and valued privacy, her love for her grandchildren was infinite. She cherished every moment spent with them and always found joy in their presence. Fay's legacy is one of resilience, quiet achievement, and unwavering love for family. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. Fay was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Cindy, Lisa; 1 brother; 2 sisters; and granddaughter, April.

Fay leaves behind her son, David (Sarahjane) Waller; daughters, Debra Gerding, Allison (Ken) Hunt; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and lifelong best friend, Ms. Bert Smith.
