Smith - Helen "Diane" Smith, age 75, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at her home in Hilliard, Florida, after a brief battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving husband and daughters in her final moments. Diane left this world as she lived it, wrapped in the love of her family. She was born on March 11, 1950, in Clarkesville, Georgia, and was the cherished daughter of the late Lester and Lois Allen. For 58 years, Diane shared a deep and enduring bond with her beloved husband, Robert "Bobby K" Smith. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and unwavering commitment. She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Melinda, Melissa, and Melanie. Her love for them was boundless. Diane dedicated 35 years of service to Roland's Tanning, where she became a familiar and friendly face to many in the community. Her work ethic and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on coworkers and customers alike. Diane was a faithful member of North Hilliard Baptist Church. She lived her life guided by scripture and spiritual strength. Diane exemplified the virtues described in Proverbs 31:30; a woman who feared the Lord and whose life reflected grace, wisdom, and kindness. She found joy in reading her Bible daily and studying its teachings. Diane's hands were rarely still. When she was not caring for her family or studying scripture, Diane could be found crocheting blankets for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her kitchen was another place where love took shape. Cooking for her family brought her immense joy and created memories that will be treasured for generations. Diane's legacy is one of steadfast love for God, for family, and for all those fortunate enough to know her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing and serve as a guiding light for those who follow in her footsteps. Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lois Allen; brother, Jerry Montgomery; sister, Sue Montgomery; and granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Stroud King.

Diane is survived by her husband, Robert "Bobby K" Smith; daughters, Melinda Stroud (Scott), Melissa Smith, Melanie King; grandchildren, Kayla Faragher (Kyle), Nicholas Stroud (McKenzie), Kiersten Wright (Tyler), Parker Britt; great grandchildren, Charlotte, Lorelei, Leighton, Delanie, Anthony; brother, Lee (Francis) Allen; sister, Nancy Cleveland; and many nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Diane's Life will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home with Pastor Kyle Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The arrangements are under the care and direction of Nassau Funeral Home, 541720 US-1, Callahan, Florida 32011. 904-879-1770. Visit www.nassaufh.com to sign the family's guest book.
