Faye Creecy Obituary

Faye Elizabeth Hedrick was born on August 9, 1940, in Dequenne, Arkansas to Joseph Wise and Julia Hedrick. Her family relocated to Oregon's Willamette Valley, where she spent her life. Faye graduated from Central High School in 1958, married James Dale Chitwood in 1960 (with whom she had two children, Robin and Brenda), and later divorced. After moving to Salem, she married Bryan Creecy in 1967, with whom she had a daughter, Jill. The family eventually settled in Albany.

Predeceased by her parents, husband Bryan, sister Myrna, brothers Al, Curtis, and Dale, and daughter Brenda Finnerty, Faye is survived by her children, Robin Chitwood (CiCi)and Jill Creecy; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

Faye owned and operated Circle of Friends Learning Center in Albany for over 21 years and volunteered with Christmas Story Book Land for 43 years, significantly contributing to the community. Details for a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

Faye provided childcare for both of our children when they young. She served as a grandmother to both while in her care.

She also blessed Albany by being an integral figure in Christmas Storybook Land.

My entire family love her for all the care and love she gave our children and community.

Faye would always come thru my drive thru at McDonald's and order a flour tortilla with cheese and a medium diet coke. She will be forever missed.
