Susie, also known as The Shrimp Lady, enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She was known for "shooting" the cast net, shucking oysters and making and selling shrimp boulettes. Susie was a spiritual lady who faithfully read her bible and prayed daily. Despite of her challenging life, she was one of the strongest people you would ever meet. She was selfless, always putting others' needs before her own. Susie leaves behind a legacy that will not be forgotten.
She is survived by her significant other, Hilton Chaisson Sr.; children, Lilton Danos, Crystal Danos, Elton Danos (Heather), Tracy Danos (Steven), Hilton Chaisson Jr., Nolan Chaisson; Smitty Chaisson, Jacqueline Dardar, Andy Chaisson, Welton Chaisson, Myron Chaisson, Stephanie Chaisson and Hartman Chaisson; grandchildren, Kierstin Guidry, Burgundi Habetz, Ta'Leyah Lee, Xavier Lee, Bryce Danos, Ella Danos, Colin Lowry, Bronsyn Chambers; great-granddaughter, Bexli Habetz; siblings, Roy Danos Jr., Randy Danos and Charlene Danos, Mary Naquin.
She was preceded in death by her son, Shaun Danos; parents, Roy Danos Sr. and Edith Boudreaux Danos; siblings, Daniel Danos Sr., Robert Danos, David Danos, Lisa Danos, Norman Danos, Melissa Danos, Brenda Danos and Anthony Danos
Visitation will be held on at Samart Funeral Home (4511 West Park Ave) on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 11:00 AM until service time. A religious service will begin at 2:00 PM.
