Obituary published on Legacy.com by Roberts & Sons Funeral Home - Foxborough on Sep. 29, 2025.
After a long and beautiful life filled with faith, family, and countless blessings, Faye, surrounded by her family, returned to our Lord on September 26, 2025, at the age of 91.
Born at home on July 7, 1934, in South Boston, Faye was the loving wife of the late Thomas P. Sullivan, the cherished daughter of the late Dan and Mary Donovan and the beloved sister of the late Marilyn Marinelli.
In 1954, Faye married her high school sweetheart Tom, and they began a family of their own. She was a devoted mother who instilled in her seven children the values of perseverance, honesty and loyalty that guided her own life.
In 1960, Faye and Tom moved to Foxboro, where she became a dedicated member of both the community and St. Mary's Parish. A woman of deep faith, she sang joyfully in the choir, served as a Eucharistic Minister, was active in the Wednesday morning coffee group, and even served a term as President of the St. Mary's Women's Guild.
Faye also worked for 20 years at Shaw's Supermarket, where she was admired for her work ethic and kindness. She never missed a chance to cheer on her children, especially in the Fall at the Foxboro Warriors football games, where her husband coached and her sons played.
As a widow for the last 28 years, Faye continued to live her life with remarkable strength and grace. She remained active in the church and Senior Center where she met many of her lifelong friends.
She had a deep love for travel, and some of her most cherished adventures included visiting family in Ireland, a memorable senior trip to Mackinac Island, exploring Machu Picchu with her son, Tom; relaxing beach vacations in Cape Cod and York, Maine, and annual trips to New York with her daughters - each journey filled with joy and lifelong memories.
Above all, Faye was so proud of her family, which was her greatest joy. She is survived by her loving daughters: Kathy Annis of Wrentham; Maureen (Mike) Trowbridge of Mansfield; Mary Beth (Ed) Noe of Newburyport; Bizzy (Rob) Allen of Foxboro; and her devoted sons: Steve Sullivan of Pittsburgh; Dan (Katie) Sullivan of Dover; and her faithful dog, Sammy. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Tom Sullivan, Jr.
Faye's love and legacy will continue to shine through her 21 grandchildren - Faye, Lauren, Alex, Amanda, Kelsi, Jane, Meghan, Sara, Devan, Michael, Max, Molly, Sophia, Annemarie, Merritt, Daniel, Grant, Ronan, Brynn, Warren, Nelson and her 6 great-grandchildren - Lila, Ella, Robby, Maya, Henry and Lucy.
Faye will be remembered for her faith, strength, laughter, and above all, the love she gave so freely to all who were blessed to know her.
Family and friends are warmly invited to celebrate Faye's life at a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 7th at 10 am at St. Mary's Church, 58 Carpenter Street in Foxboro. Visiting hours will be held Monday, October 6th from 4 to 7 pm at Roberts & Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street in Foxboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made to the
American Cancer Society in her memory.
