Lloyd Truax, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, passed away

peacefully at the age of 92 on September 17, 2025 at his home in Foxboro, Massachusetts,

Lloyd was a man whose life was defined by love, dedication, and service to others.

Lloyd was married to his devoted wife for 70 years, a union that was a testament to their deep

bond and mutual respect. Together, they raised three sons, whose love and admiration for their

father were evident to all who knew him. Lloyd's legacy also includes eight grandchildren and

three great-grandchildren; each of whom cherished the special bond they shared with him.

A proud veteran, Lloyd served in the United States Army, a chapter in his life that he carried

with honor and humility.

In addition to his military service, Lloyd was an entrepreneur, building Lloyd Truax Company Inc.

from the ground up. His determination and unwavering work ethic were the cornerstones of his

success. Lloyd touched many lives and built a legacy of which his family and friends are

incredibly proud.

Lloyd found joy on the water, he was an avid boater spending countless moments on his boat at

the Point Independence Yacht Club. The simple pleasures of life, whether a day on the water or

time spent with loved ones, where Lloyd truly shined, and it was in these moments that his

kindness and generosity were most evident.

Lloyd was known by all who met him as the kindest man one could ever hope to encounter. His

gentle spirit, sense of humor, and endless patience made him a friend to everyone he met.

Whether with family, friends, or even strangers, Lloyd's warmth and generosity were the

qualities that defined him, and he leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and gratitude that

will be cherished forever.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Truax, his three sons, Lloyd Truax, Robert Truax, Paul Truax

and his wife Jamie Truax, his eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. He was

predeceased by siblings Byron Truax, Louis Alfred Truax, Richard Truax, Jean Bortolotti,

Lorraine Lincoln and Irene Dorin.

A celebration of Lloyd's life will be held on Thursday, September 25, 202 with a visitation from 4 to 7 PM at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South St., in Foxborough. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday at 10 AM at the St. Mary's Church, 58 Carpenter St. in Foxborough followed by and interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Foxborough.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in his memory.

Lloyd's family takes comfort in knowing that his love and wisdom will continue to guide them for

generations to come. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
