It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Felisa Uvalle Ybarra, who departed this life peacefully on May 3, 2025 at the age of 89 beautiful years surrounded by her loving family. A beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Felisa lived a life marked by strength, grace, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Felisa Ybarra was born on November 20, 1935 in Leon, Guanajuato, Mexico. Felisa spent her life nurturing and caring for those around her. She was the heart of the family, always ready with warm food, a listening ear, and the kind of wisdom that only comes with a life well-lived.
Felisa was known for her incredible cooking, her green thumb, and her unwavering faith. In her lifetime, she was a long-time member of Bethel Baptist Church who was also a dedicated teacher, a faithful prayer warrior, and a devoted follower of Christ. She was a woman of quiet resilience who faced life's challenges with grace and strength. Her legacy lives on through the values she instilled and the many lives she touched with her kindness.
She is survived by her son, Samuel Ybarra; seven daughters, Dora DeLeon (Alfredo), Mary Ybarra, Betty Ybarra Rangel, Teresa Lee Rodriguez (Alejandro), Rosa Corona (Alejandro), Sally Echavarria (Ruben), Vivian Garcia (Salvador). Grandchildren including Jesse (Jessica), Sarah, Kayla, Fabian, Luciana, Raylee, Shauna (Michael), Nicholas(Alyssa), Analia, Noah, Luis, Marcos, Lil Fred (Dominic), Alyssa(Jackson), Nova, Mariah, Makayla, Kingston, Benny, Ky'Lee, Maxston, Ovidio, Samuel (Brittany), Amaya, Aria, Samuel, Analeyah, Asaiah, Angel, Eduardo, Amy, Iris(Isaiah), Kora, Brock, Alexis, Anthony, Justus, Alicia, Michael(Miranda), Elizabeth, Isabella, Brandy, Dominic, Oscar Jr, Angel, Heather, Samantha(Zach), Alaia, Anaya, Desiree, Liam, Sam Henry(Jaime), Kayli(Jesus), Julia, Nora, Kameron, Kinsley, Jeremy(Kari), Anthony(Jasmine), Colt, Alexis(Berto), Joseph, Jayden(Hailey), Tatum, Taylor, Kami, David, Angel, Mia, Zane, Phillip, Makeyla, Ariella, Natalie, Alex, Bella, Athena(Michael), Lupe, Isaiah, Elijiah(Jaylon), Josiah, Akaylah, Christopher(Dawn), Caleb, Zackary, Mason, Felisha(Paul),Norberto, Noah, Jacob, Christopher Hudgins, Olivia(Raul), Kataleya, Jakobie, Matthew, Melissa(Marcos), Anastasia, Marcos, Arabella, Abriana, Anais, Matthew(Vida), Envy, Euphoria, Martika, Noel, Ruby(Isaac), Kia, Rachel, Angelina, Sonny, Joshua(Kinsella), Christian, Brooklyn, Haven, Tristen, Johnny Ray(Jennifer),Gabriel, Surviving Siblings -Tito Mendez Uvalle & Jesus Mendez Uvalle countless others who were blessed to know her. Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who passed before her, and that her love remains with us always.
She was reunited in heaven with her parents, Leopaldo & Leonarda Uvalle Mendez; spouse, Santiago Ybarra; two daughters, Teresita de Jesus and Irene "Bertha" Martinez; son, William Noel Ybarra; sons-in-law, Robert Corona, Ben Garcia, Rick Swain, Carlos Martinez; grandson-in-law, Broderick Ryan; and siblings, Eva Mendez Uvalle, Francisca Mendez Uvalle, and Antonia Mendez Uvalle.
Viewing will be from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Robert Massie Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. A celebration of Felisa's life will be 10:00 AM Thursday May 8, 2025 at Word of Life Church where family and friends will gather to honor her memory. Burial will follow in Robert Lee Hispanic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Felisa Ybarra will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
