Ferdinando Muoio Sr.

Ferdinando Muoio, Sr. of New Haven passed away peacefully in his home on July 6, 2024. He was the husband of Apollonia Aurioso Muoio. Born in Amalfi, Italy on January 5, 1946 son of the late Gennaro and Rosa Gambardella Muoio, Ferdinando was one of 18 children, 15 of who he was predeceased by. He was a baker at several area bakeries, including Fresh Market in Guilford, Costco and was the owner of Mr. Donut in East Haven for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and being with his family. Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Rosanne (Brendan) McShane, Gennaro (Gloria) Muoio and Ferdinando (Amber Wendt) Muoio, Jr.; sisters Maria (Thomas) Mancini and Geraldine Muoio; his niece Andreina Avallone was more like his daughter that he helped his sister Geraldine raise, 12 grandchildren and his faithful dog Chino.
Funeral services will be held Thursday evening at 6:15 in the Iovanne Funeral Home, Inc. 11 Wooster Place in New Haven. Relatives and friends may visit from 4:00PM until the time of service. Burial will be private.
