In Loving Memory of Fernando Valentin.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Fernando "Nandy" Valentin. He was born on May 17, 1944 in Mayaguez, PR to the late Victor and Gloria (Romero) Gonzalez. A resident of Stamford, CT, he departed from this life on June 16, 2025 at the age of 81. Fernando died peacefully with his loving family by his side.
He will be remembered for his strength, wisdom, charisma, sense of humor, and the warm smile that lit up every room he entered. He was kind-hearted and generous, always making sure everyone's bellies were full and their spirits lifted.
Fernando had a special affection for animals. Having homing pigeons as a young boy, he found comfort in rehabilitating injured ones. He adored his dog, Yogi and also spent hours watching his fish swimming in his aquarium, enjoying their quiet beauty. He worked as a professional limousine driver for nearly 40 years and had a passion for making and flying kites for children. More than anything, he was a loving and very caring husband and father whose devotion to his family never wavered. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Isabel Valentin; his two sisters, Zoraida (Luis) De Marquez of Devon, Pennsylvania; Evelyn (John) Mooney of West Palm Beach, Florida; his two daughters, Denice (David) Molina of North Wales, Pennsylvania; Jiselle (Dennis) Quiñones of Monroe, Connecticut; and his beloved grandsons, Michael David Molina, Gabriel Molina, and Louis Anthony Maldonado, who was like a son to him. Fernando was preceded in death by his siblings Victor Gonzalez, Lillian Gonzalez and Ismael (Tito) Gonzalez.
